AUST Celebrates ‘Marka-e-Haq’ Independence Day with Enthusiasm

On August 12, Abbottabad University of Science and Technology (AUST) marked Marka-e-Haq — Independence Day — with a vibrant series of activities.

The Youth Development Center (YDC) organized various competitions, including speech, quiz, national songs and essay writing, engaging students in a spirited display of patriotism.

The Honourable Vice Chancellor of AUST, Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the celebration week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Notable attendees included Mr. Ajmal Khan Jadoon, Director Administration and Add. Registrar Mr. Iftikhar Hussain. Both the Vice Chancellor and the Additional Registrar applauded the efforts of the YDC Interns and Literary Society for successfully organizing the event. Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan also extended special thanks to Mr. Qazi Khuram Shahzad, Head of YDC, for his valuable contributions.

The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony followed by a symbolic Independence Walk, where participants proudly carried the national flag in a show of unity and pride.
