The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at AUST is established in line with the guidelines of Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan to implement quality assurance and enhancement policies across the university.
QEC works towards achieving international rankings through innovation, perfection, and assurance of policies. It focuses on establishing external linkages for alternative funding sources and activating Career Counseling, Alumni, and Placement offices.
Comprehensive quality assurance activities in line with HEC guidelines
Facilitate departments in preparing comprehensive Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) for all academic programs following HEC proforma.
Provide support for national (PEC, NCEAC, PCATP) and international accreditation processes and prepare documentation.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of academic programs including curriculum, teaching methods, and learning outcomes assessment.
Organize capacity building sessions, workshops, and seminars on quality assurance practices for faculty and staff.
Conduct student, alumni, employer, and faculty surveys to gather feedback for continuous quality improvement.
Perform internal quality audits across all departments to ensure compliance with quality standards and SOPs.
Coordinate data collection and submission for national and international university rankings (QS, Times, HEC).
Maintain alumni database, conduct tracer studies, and facilitate alumni engagement for program improvement.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all QEC activities, reports, and quality enhancement initiatives.
