One-Week Capacity Building Training Program Concludes at AUST
Abbottabad, January 3, 2025 – Abbottabad University of Science and Technology (AUST), in partnership with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) under the Higher Education Commission (HEC), successfully concluded its week-long Capacity Building Training for University Management program on January 3, 2025.
The program, aimed at enhancing the management skills of university staff, was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mujaddad UR Rehman, Vice Chancellor of AUST, along with Mr. Tahir Mehmood from NAHE-HEC and Dr. Saifullah Khan, Director of Quality Enhancement and Training.
Key sessions were led by experienced resource persons, including Associate Prof. Dr. Arshad Ali from NUML, Dr. Yasir Hussain from Quaid-e-Azam University, Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan, GM at NUST, Mr. Anwar Amjid (TI), CEO of DHNY Consultant, and Mr. Asad Khan, Former World Bank-HEC Consultant. The training covered essential modules on Interpersonal Skills, Business Communication, Leadership Policy and Strategy, Financial Management, and Procurement Planning.
Mr. Tahir Mehmood outlined the program’s objectives, focusing on its role in enhancing institutional effectiveness and leadership capabilities.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Saifullah Khan commended the participants for their active engagement and thanked NAHE-HEC and the organizing team for delivering impactful training. Vice Chancellor, Abbottabad UST Prof. Dr. Mujaddad UR Rehman emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting professional development and strengthening university operations.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the distribution of certificates and shields to the participants, marking the program’s successful completion
