Vice Chancellor's Message
Abbottabad University of Science & Technology was established to educate, train and develop individuals with the knowledge and experience necessary to meet the challenges of today. Meeting that commitment requires more than adding programs and facilities — it requires a disciplined, continuous check on whether what we deliver matches what we promise.
That is the mandate of our Directorate of Quality Enhancement — the University's instrument for measuring itself honestly: reviewing programs against the criteria of the Higher Education Commission, tracking the outcomes our graduates achieve, and reporting findings to the University's statutory bodies for action.
I expect every faculty member, department head and administrative office to extend full support to the Directorate in its reviews and surveys, and I encourage our students and alumni to speak candidly through its feedback instruments. A university improves only to the extent that it is willing to hear where it falls short.
Director's Message
Education drives personal growth, societal transformation and global progress. In a world that is changing faster than any curriculum can be rewritten, quality and integrity remain the cornerstones of impactful education — they are what turn a degree into a capability, and a graduate into a professional.
The Quality Enhancement Cell of Abbottabad University of Science & Technology exists to protect and advance that standard. Working under the Quality Assurance framework of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, the Directorate facilitates every department in the self-assessment of its academic programs, supports them through national and international accreditation, and collects structured feedback from students, faculty, alumni and employers so that decisions about teaching and learning rest on evidence rather than impression.
Quality assurance, however, is not the work of one office. It is a shared culture. A teacher who revises a course after reading student feedback, a department that closes the loop on a self-assessment finding, a student who fills in a course evaluation honestly — each of these is quality enhancement in practice. The Directorate provides the framework, the instruments and the analysis; the University community provides the commitment.
