Collecting and submitting institutional data to national and international ranking authorities is one of the standing objectives of the Directorate of Quality Enhancement under the Abbottabad University Quality Assurance Policy.
HE Higher Education Ranking 2025
In the 2025 edition of the HE Higher Education Ranking, Abbottabad University of Science & Technology was placed:
- 118th out of 422 institutions worldwide, with an overall score of 6,670 points
- 9th in Pakistan
- 4th in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The ranking assesses institutions across research and publications, educational impact, admissions and enrolment, faculty and resource management, governance and funding, equity and inclusion, internationalisation, and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024
Abbottabad University of Science & Technology was recognised as the 1,200th most sustainable university in the world in the 2024 UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, with a total score of 36.40% (3,640 of 10,000 points) and a national position of 64th in Pakistan.

Memberships and networks
The University collaborates with national and international quality assurance networks, including INQAAHE (International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education), APQN (Asia-Pacific Quality Network) and PNQAHE (Pakistan Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education).
